Nathan initially moved to New York from Arkansas
to study with minimalist composer La Monte Young.
After many hours of exposure to Dream House drones,
Nathan wrote and recorded "Brutal" over the course of several months in on-and-off recording sessions, with Nathan playing and singing all the parts.
Clear Tigers was born in 2006 in Brooklyn, New York in a very small apartment.

Powerpop indie is how they dub themselves, but there are so many influences filtering in here, it's difficult to pinpoint their sound exactly. Post-punk with an energetic twist and a knack for a melody. Theirs is a sound which is trying to resolve the conflict between the obscure and the commercial, and it's a musical tightrope they tread well. Well. I've been listening to your EP all week long. I know comparisions are always dull, but I think you greatly achieved that feeling that The Killers so badly pretend. I mean it in a positive way.
