Sounds Like
"Chop Shop is a relatively new band, but you wouldn't guess that from listening. Their sound is reminiscent of R.E.M. or early Radiohead, with strokes of Joy Division or Interpol." - The Deli Magazine
"Chop Shop's EP hardly sounds like the work of a rookie band--you'd mistake them for seasoned rock heavyweights from the very beginning. Big, emotional songs. Huge guitars."
- XMU Radar Report "Artist of the Week"
"The sound of broken hearts mending slowly."
- CMJ
There are 5 of us. We play music. We hope you like it.
The mailing list below is not out to get you!!! Myspace warns you that it might be trying to steal your identity because it is 3rd party software, but don't worry. It is safe and just gives us a way of finding more people we can send out our newsletters to. That way, we can update you about any shows or events going on in the Chop Shop world.
Hi there chopshop first of all we'd like to say thanks for being our myspace pal. We wanted to make sure you knew the reason incase we suddenly vanish off of your friends list. The movement we've started for indie artists has grown significantly and consumes all of our time these days. We seldom sign into our myspace account and this is making several people believe that we are ignoring them. We are not ignoring anyone, we wanted everyone to know that. What we're doing has become so busy we just don't have the time for myspace any longer, so in all honesty we are probably going to just close our myspace account.
Many people wanted to use us in the future so if you were one of those people make sure you bookmark www.tthlabel.com so that in the even that we do close our myspace account you will not lose contact with us. Thanks again for being our myspace pal!
We have a new radio show called The Awesome Fignog radio show, with an emphases on unsigned Ohio bands. You can listen here http://thebentreys.com/Radioshow Right now it's a weekly podcast. We will be streaming it live soon with special band performances and interviews. Please help us spread the word.
I have recently photographed a campaign for the City of New York.
GET SOME... NYC Condoms.
A TV, Radio, Internet, Magazine, Newspapper and Billboard campaign probably are known for you who live here in the city. If you haven't seen it. You can check it out in my profile http://www.myspace.com/magazineslist
Merry Christmas!! I know that everyone has probably left New York for the Holiday season but if you haven't come and check out my show this Friday December 28th at 10:30pm at Googies Lounge, which is upstairs from the Living Room, 154 Ludlow in between Stanton and Rivington on the Lower East Side. “What we’re really talking about is a wonderful day set aside on the fourth Thursday of November when no one diets. I mean, why else would they call it Thanksgiving?” - Erna Bombeck
