Since 1996 Chic-A-Go-Go has been Chicago's cable access dance show for kids of all ages! Miss Mia, Ratso and the Chic-A-Go-Go dancers cut it up every Tuesday night at 8:30pm and Wednesday after school at 3:30pm on Chicago's CAN-TV cable channel 19. Anyone who wants to dance on the show can come on down, or write to chiclist@roctober.com to get on our monthly e-mail invite list! It was such an incredibly awesome experience dancing with you all last Saturday for your 12th anniversary party! My children all enjoyed it - from my six year old daughter and my eight year old son (and his drumming, Nigerian friend, Muiz) right down to my naughty-boy teenager who loved "Lotoball!"
The movie at Portage Theater was a blast! We learned about it (and went with) our dear friend, Effie Mihopoulos, who is a radio talk show host at WZRD. You are all so much fun to spend time with and clearly are gifted at drawing the most talented people in Chicago to you!
Wouldn't it be great to have a dance party on Loyola BEACH this summer? That's something to think about! The Beach Poets (my venue) will be celebrating 18 years of amazing poetry on the beaches of Chicago this year!
