Singer/Songwriter Cheryl Kumié released her debut album “Awaken the Dawn” in 2000 independantly and re-released it in 2002 on the major label Universal Music Japan Polydor. In 2001 Kumié was the grand prize winner in a national talent search sponsored by Do Good Music and Atlantic Records. This exposure led to artist development with major and independent record labels in Nashville, Tennessee where she resided for four years. Cheryl Kumié currently resides in Kaneohe, Hawaii and she serves as the Worship Director and Worship Leader at Hawaii Kai Church. She plays guitar and saxophone, and she is a former Miss Cherry Blossom Queen Hawaii.
