15 years of experience (more or less) playing the axe (electric/acoustic/7 strings/bass guitar); classically trained piano player in pre-teen years/early teens; other smaller instruments (and drums - though I don't consider myself a drummer).
I do my own thing (part metal, part indie/jangle/alt rock/punk-ish rock) on guitar, sometimes keyboard/piano at home. AND yes I have been in rock bands and would Love to join one again at some point - if it's the right fit for me.
Recently worked as sports stringer/correspondent for a small town newspaper and currently write for Blogcritics Magazine (covering sports/music/politics).
I worked for my college newspaper (MASS MEDIA @ Umass-Boston) for two years (2004 to early 2006), mostly in the Arts department (as a music journalist/critic - national and local artists).
Journalist at the 2004 Democratic National Convention for a special, one-time newspaper (MEDIA NATION) that was distributed by the BOSTON GLOBE (to the world baby!) every day during the DNC. Me and my Umass-Boston (and Harvard) colleagues were featured on PBS and MSNBC during the DNC as well. Best (4) week(s) ever!

Hey. We are thinking about coming down Sunday December 30th. Does that work for everyone? Ask them and let us know...we figured we'd get down in the morning and stay late. Make sure everyone gets that day off from work, too!
Well thank you. I'm only semi-sorry to see that BC lost, but only because I'm a Hokies girl : ) I was going to email you after the game (I read the email you sent your dad, he forwarded it to my mom) and you were talking some trash about VT, LOL
I'm VERY psyched we'll get to see you next month! Now all we need is a date to do it! Can't wait!
Life IS good for Boston fans! I didn't get to see the Patriots game, but I did watch the gamecast at espn.com. What an awesome game! I love being a Boston fan! : )
Yes, I was bummed that VA Tech lost that game to BC. We need to stop playing you guys on Thursday nights; we have 3 losses on Thursday night game, and they are ALL to BC! I couldn't BELIEVE it when I saw the highlights the next morning. Ugh!
Virginia Tech plays "Enter Sandman" at the beginning of every football game just before the players enter. The stadium becomes electrified, it's awesome : ) That's great that Casey is home. You guys must miss her. I sent her a message yesterday saying hi.
Hey! It was AWESOME to see you this weekend. You look great! I'm lovin' the new beard! : ) I hope to see you guys soon, for my show if you wanted to go and could make it. If not, hopefully at Christmas!
Our new song "Island to City" has finally been completed and put up on our site. Please give it a listen when you have a chance and thanks again for listening,
Much Love,

The radio? That is SWEET! That must've been so much fun. And yeah, playing music seems to be fairly easy. That would be sweet if you got to do it again. I'd love to see the pics!
Hey. Sorry we didn't get a chance to see you guys this Christmas. I was looking forward to it, but the day got crazy (it stinks having to work Saturdays!) and the weather wasn't too hot. But maybe soon we can get together. And I'd love for us "kids" to go out and leave the adults behind for a while. Sounds like fun!
Hope to see you all soon. Tell everyone I said hi!
