Ben Brantley from the New York Times calls it, “A melodrama of Southern-fried mendacity, blessed with temptingly juicy roles. DEBBIE ALLEN wisely pushes past the issue of race. ANIKA NONI ROSE grasps Maggie’s hard-driving sense of purpose with riveting firmness and clarity. Her take-charge energy and unembarrassed directness make this Maggie a stimulating presence.
She is FIERCELY CHARGED.”
Actor-model Boris Kodjoe will sub for Terrence Howard from April 15 to May 22! Terrence Howard will return on May 23.

I finally saw the show on closing night. One of the best days of my life. I LOVE Phylicia Rashad & Debbie Allen. Thank you ladies, for making this happen. I studied theatre at Howard and this show was mandatory to see, read, and do scenes and monlogues from. I hated this play. I though it was a boring peice with lots of rambling. I came to see the show really just to see Phylicia work. I had to ask someone if this was an adaption because I don't remember this play being so damn funny and interesting. Just goes to show the type of flavor our people can add to words on paper. Thank you again. We will meet again. Jessica Fontaine...remember the name.
Jung called it "synchronicity"--random events that occur together in a way that defies rational explanation.
You think of a friend you haven't seen in a while, and she phones you. Or, contemplating a business deal, you see a sign that reads "Beware of thin ice," and you know to steer clear. If you look more closely at coincidences, you will find guidance in times of confusion or at key moments in decision-making. We are used to looking for symbols in dreams, but coincidences in our waking lives can be also be read as symbols of where the universe is leading us.
happy tuesday! just wanted to remind my friends about my nyc performance. hope to see you there! peace.love.light.friends. brigfeltus

"I’m a dropout, a runaway.. I’ve taken someone from who she loves. I pushed a girl through the cotton to the bottom of the pills. I bring sadness where I go. He’s in my gut, the wrinkles in my eyes.. My very skin is turning into his. I need to leave, ..before she’ll remember me.
