5 Stars It's rare to hear an album these days that keeps you hooked all the way through. 'Almanac' is as great as any classic album recorded in the late 60s, without being obviously retro. The emphasis on this record is on the songwriting, which is strong enough to cut through, regardless of any sound or recording style. RW Hedges has a pure rock & roll voice and he writes great lyrics. There are way too many highlights: 'Clarissa', 'Abe's Dream', 'Moneysting' and 'Tears in Your Eyes' are just a few. The album is produced by Carpetface and engineered by Keith Levene, original genius guitarist of Public Image Limited. 5/5
