GABRIELA Network NEEDS YOUR HELP!

Dear GABNet members, allies and friends:

On August 5, 2007, GABRIELA Network USA National Chairperson Dr. Annalisa Enrile was barred from leaving the Philippines. She was not allowed to board her return flight home to the US. She was told that she is on a "watchlist." Two other GABNet women--Judith Mirkinson and Ninotchka Rosca--are reportedly on the same "watchlist."

Dr. Enrile, Ms. Mirkinson and Ms. Rosca were in the Philippines, along with other GABNet members and officers, for the 10th bi-annual Women's Solidarity Affair in the Philippines. The GABNet 3 also led the GABNet-co-sponsored human rights mission to the Philippines with US women lawyers in May-June 2006.

We are demanding that the Philippine government "release" the GABNet 3 and allow them to return home. We need your HELP in pressuring the US Embassy and the US Ambassador to the Philippines to act on behalf of these 3 US citizens/permanent resident and demand that the Philippines "release" them at once.

ACTION - WHAT YOU CAN DO TODAY: FAX the US Embassy, American Citizen Service, 011 63 2 522-3242 and/or Ambassador Kenney, 011 63 2 522-4361.

*Please see GABNet SD's myspace blog for more info and for a sample letter you can use! gabnetsandiego.myspace.com

Please distribute this call to action far and wide.

Ok so now is the time, better now then never to tell you the truth about what all girls have on their mind and how they lie when they say that size does not matter. Take it from me, I am living proof that can confirm for you that the size and thickness of your prick does mean so much to all girls and if you can not satisfy a girl like the guys with big meatpoles do, then they will find a guy who can.
My bro Sammy heard about these enlarge pills on myspace a few months back and he ordered like nine bottles of the stuff, I know cause I found them stashed under his bed and he caught me snooping then told me all about his secret and that they made him grow almost 3 inches in two months and it got real thick too. He got them from this site just copy and paste it in your browser. DNAKO.COM
Best of all, the pills do work, Sam is living proof and I have no reason to lie for him, all the girls surround him now like he is some celeb, and he says its all cause of these little goodies from DNAKO.COM
Oh ya, just so you know, they guarentee that the pills work on any man or you get whatever you paid right back, so instead of thinking about doing it, just go to DNAKO.COM now and show the ladies what you are made of.

God needs to create another man (or a woman as He pleases) in a reflection of you to open young people's minds that there is more to life than suited up hondas, fake blonde hair, jordans, and everything that involves materialism. When I came to Seattle, I was appaled at the young brothers and sisters who had NO thirst for knowledge involving Filipino history, they are so caught up in the propaganda of looking cool... whatever the fuck that means. They're heroes are Kobe Bryant or Michael Jordan (by the way MJ, im still cool eventhough I aint wearing no Jordans- it doesnt stop me from getting a date so FUCK WHAT YOU GOTTA SAY!), or some other rapper that sold millions of album by proclaiming he got shot and lived through it. Instead, their heroes need to be their parents, who bust their ass to give us a good life working bullshit wages and yet still manage to be homeowners. Sit down with your parents today (or soon) and ask them how expensive it is to be a homeowner while only making $10-$15 an hour while they gotta bust their ass tryin to please you and still manage to pay mortgage, bills, and other shit. Thanks. Peace out...

When I saw the message in my inbox of a request to be added as a friend from someone named Allos, the first thing that came to my mind was Carlos Bulosan! I'm glad you found me! I read your book "Heart of the Son" at the period of my life that I was depressed, and your story has inspired me in so many different levels! I always think of you, your story, and our ancestor's whenever I pass by the railroad tracks, walk down Chinatown in downtown Portland, or drive east to eastern washington/oregon, or drive down south I-5 to California, or everytime I pass by a town who's name is familiar because I remember reading it from your book. Also whenever my friends/cousins go on a roadtrip to Seattle, I always try to bring them to go see your memorial at the Eastern Hotel.

It may seem like a lot has changed since your lifetime, and it may feel like so long time ago since the time you worked as an Alaskarero, worked several minimum wage jobs, fought for labor and immigrant rights, or wrote your books. But in reality sometimes it still feels like not a lot has changed...I had a friend last year whom we drop off at Port of Seattle to work in the canneries in Alaska, hundreds of thousands of Filipino Americans are still working several minimum wage jobs living paycheck to paycheck while supporting their family, labor workers and immigrants are still fighting for fairness and their rights, the only thing that changed is now your books are starting to be read widely especially among ethnic and Asian/Pilipino American studies classes in various Universities across America. PSU Kaibigan is purchasing several copies of your book next Fall to encourage our members to read your books.

Long live Carlos Bulosan's stories, poetry, and legacy! Your book has really touched me and I still have yet to pay my respects and visit your grave in Seattle!

my cuzin gave me your book america when i was 15 yo. i was sprung to have found multiple copies of it at the franklin high school library. i read it that year. and never understood the context it was written in. i read it again as a college student, equipped only with a race analysis, and it made a little more sense. and then read it again my first year of teachin, after becoming part of the peoples movement for national liberation in the philippines, and i understood it to the fullest. it is now required reading for my asian american history class, and we read it every year. i read your cry and the dedication and was convinced, that if you were still here, in the flesh, you would be an ND. thank you manong allos. for teachin us to appreciate the beauty in life, as we live to create life accented with our beauty.
