The presence of Johnny Cash, the voice of Eddie Vedder and the heart of Neil Young, Calhoun has distilled all these qualities to fast become an exciting singer/songwriter.
Currently based in London, Calhoun is one of Edinburgh’s better known singer/songwriters! It takes just one live performance of ’Behold The Man’ to make every person in a room to sit up and listen. Most known for his remarkable strong vocals and cynical, honest song writing (for which he received a nomination for "Best Acoustic Artist 2006" rblmusic.com) that never shies away from uncomfortable subjects such as alcoholism, domestic abuse, incest, politics and most importantly heartache, Calhoun will bluntly but creatively put a human face to villainous characters and make you care for them regardless of there flaws. Calhoun is not here at the moment. Leave a message and I’ll get back to you.
Hi! I'm not sure if you will remember talking to me (?) because we spoke on here almost 2 years ago now! BUT I remembered talking to you about Whistle Binkies in Edinburgh! We joked about it because I live in the Midlands but I thought that I would let you know that I have infact played at Whistle Binkies now!! I hope you don't think I'm weird for bringing this up but I suddenly remembered it! :-) Keep in touch, Anna Rice.
