About me: We are a few Americans living as civilians in Iraq who want to do something to contribute to the future of these wonderful people. In order to accomplish that, we sell hand-made Iraqi shoes that are truly amazing. We use all the proceeds to fund heart surgeries for children who would otherwise die without some sort of outside help.

Who I'd like to meet: THE POOR - We love to meet impoverished Iraqi children who don't stand a chance at living unless someone helps them get outside the country for heart surgery.
AND
THE POWERFUL - We also love to meet generous people who have enough vision to partner with us in using our resources to make others' lives better.

It's now been 5 years of lies and atrocities in Iraq. If we wait for the next president, many more soldiers and civilians will be needlessly killed or maimed in the meantime. Please protest to end the occupation NOW, and ask others to do likewise. If someone you know is still undecided, please ask them to watch veterans testify in the WINTER SOLDIER hearings, MARCH 13-16. Hey guys! It's so cool to hear that Aras is all set and ready to live without heart trouble and Aria and Rebar are in the process of receiving their surgeries! It really does work! I thank God for what He is doing in Iraq right now despite all the negative things that we see everyday. I sent you another email today, so hopefully I'll hear from you soon. Peace!

My shoes made their first appearance to me tonight. I tried them on and gazed at them in complete awe. They are beautiful, and I love them even more than I thought I would.
Knowing their story makes this all so much more amazing.

hey! yeah i'm sorry i missed you last week too. unfortunately things have really piled up with school and i haven't had time for much else. i am well, thank you for asking. i hope you had a good thanksgiving. and the baby...is it here now?!
