Twenty-four-year-old singer-songwriter Brandon Chandler is proving to be a rare breed among other songwriters of his generation. Originally from Louisiana, Chandler relocated to Portland, Oregon at a young age, but his Southern roots continue to echo loudly through his soulful crooning. His pop-conscious songwriting and strong melodies have drawn comparisons to Ben Harper and Jason Mraz, but his delicate and passionate voice sets him apart as a sexy and unique talent in his genre.
In late 2006, Chandler teamed up with Nashville native Peter Rodocker (Yellow Room Recording) to record his first LP, "After All This Time". Shortly thereafter, Chandler and Rodocker put together The Revival, a live band featuring Nick O'Gara on bass, Jeff Simpson ..boards and Josh Baruch on drums. The CD, produced by Rodocker, and co-produced by Chandler, has received radio play up down the West Coast, most notably on KINK 101.9 in Portland, OR, and sold over 1000 copies in its first two months. The album has helped draw the interest of Sony/ATV Music Publishing (John Mayer, Joni Mitchell, Destiny's Child, One Republic), Casablanca Music Publishing (Madeline Peyroux, Finger 11, Steve Miller Band), and Crush Management (Fall Out Boy, Panic! At the Disco, gym class heroes).
Chandler and company recently played two showcases at the famed SXSW music conference in Austin, TX and are currently in the studio recording their sophomore album "this beautiful love" due in early fall of 2008.

Brandon Chandler: The Voice - Kink 101.9, June 10, 2008
"Well, he’s more than just a voice actually, Brandon Chandler is the whole package- Great voice, solid songs, and a great look. It’s just a matter of time before this outstanding local talent makes it on to the global music radar.
His voice is reminiscent of Jason Mraz, but with a touch more soul. Brandon and his band The Revival traveled to Austin recently and played SXSW to rave reviews.
He’s featured on the KINK.FM Plug In Portland, Local Music CD Sampler, and you should definitely pick up his latest CD "After All This Time."
Remember the name, and the voice. Brandon Chandler. Right now, check him out in the KINK Live Performance Lounge."

Thanks for the friend request. Nice to hear a subtle southern kick in your music. i'm gettin ready to relocate back to Texas but am not a huge "country" music fan. Always appreciate and enjoy this style of tunes!!! And, since I am big on supporting the locals(curently residing in my home town of Portland, OR) I'll be sure to grab your CD's. Keep representing. Your doing a fabulous work!!
Mississippi Studios sounds like a great place for an acoustic show, Brandon... worth breaking into your studio time to take on. I hope it goes well. (Heather - Vancouver)
