i hate trying to answer this question. here's a few: u2, counting crows, vertical horizon, goo goo dolls, jimmy eat world, ryan adams, patti griffin, pete yorn, switchfoot, garrison starr, john mayer, the luxury liners, the black crows, ccr, delirious, switchfoot, charlie hall, the beach boys, the cure, richard marx, heart, midnight oil, pearl jam, rich creamy paint, levi smith, coldplay, chris tomlin, david crowder, and many, many more.
Sounds Like
vertical horizon, ryan adams, chris tomlin, who knows. i don't think i sound like any of those people and i can't for the life of me think of who to compare myself to. i think i'll leave that to you.
I guess I should admit that I hate writing these things. Especially because the journey to this point has been so crazy; painful even. I’ve been playing music for people for over ten years now. Literally thousands of coffee shops, bookstores, community centers, bars, wherever somebody would let me plug in, I would play. After a couple of years of dealing with a record label I found myself broke, discouraged, disillusioned, and disconnected from the people I love the most. I was stranded in South Carolina with a broken down van and a band I couldn’t afford to pay. That was the low point.
I had to do a lot of reflecting in that moment. What I found out was that somewhere along the way I had lost track of the things that mattered the most to me about making music. I always wanted to be honest and vulnerable as a songwriter. I always wanted to make relationships and people the most important thing. I always wanted for my music to reflect a passionate desire for Christ in my own life and to encourage others to seek Him. What I realized was that in some very fundamental ways, I had failed to do any of those things. So I had to spend some time soul searching. I spent time with my wife and daughter (being on the road is hard on the people who love you the most). I spent time reconnecting in my relationship with Christ. I allowed myself to experience His healing in my life and in the life of my family as well. I also discovered a real passion for worship and for leading others in worship. I kind of threw myself into worshiping God with reckless abandon. And I wrote songs. I wrote songs that expressed the journey I was on. I wrote songs that talked about God’s “furious” love, and His relentless, passionate pursuit of us. That is what these songs are. Honest confessions of a man who finally sees a little of what I can be in Christ, but who also realizes how far I often fall short. I know that I am not who I desire to be in Christ yet, but I am closer than ever…
I talked with the promoter of the concert we are playing with Paul Wright on April 22nd and they wanted me to tell everyone that if you buy a ticket to this concert you can use the ticket for another concert on April 17th with Fireflight, our friends Sending 68, Born of Sarai and Mazzaroth!

And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God. Philippians 1:9-11

You are amazing! You're the most talented artist I've ever heard. This is the kind of christian music that I can listen to over and over again. You keep me close!
Hey man, I download the songs, they're great. I like snocap as well, very user friendly.
I will have to admit, it is hard for me to move on with your music with "Mr. Freeman" playing in the back of my head, but I'm working on it. LOL. I know its old school, but you know I grew up on that. LOL!!!
How are you doing? Has 2007 been a good year for you so far? Let us know what's going on in your life. We're one big family here, right? Our desire for you, Brad Miles, is that you engage 100% of your effort in the pursuit of holiness. Oh and remember, you're not a sinner, you're a saint if you know Jesus. Our prayer is that we would let God; rule, reign and roam freely in our lives. Let us know if you would like us to come out to your area.
