The invention of nerd was in the late of 90's...........intermission....
The next nerd generation was only rise in d middle of the new millenium with some kinda changes over its line up and so the name....that zaid the former nerd..it was nearly at the end of his rock days when he met Eddy lambretta and Bidari the Jarvis wannabe pulp out an idea to form the band again.It was only the 3 of them working out the band that might be some kind of rare synthesizer rock over the touch of the miracle fingers of Bidari by the spirit of The Doors and Depeche Mode.While most of the song was made by Zaid and coloured by Eddy.The 2 guys,Zaid and Eddy at that time was to mad of the mod scene in late 60's as they was inspired truly old friend,Yassier, Kuching City Skinhead Crew old timer and Hussein as well as Adhim.They have seen too much indie movie such as Clockwork orange,trainspotting, Day dreamer,Quadrophenia and many more some shitty old bad boy life that they thought is the way of life that thy really adore in their past.In short.......They just fucking adore the Damn English culture.At the same time their stereo just playing the sound of the Stone Roses,The Jam,The Who,The kink,The Small Faces,The Police,Pulp,the fucking sniffing glue Oasis, the melting pot of Brett Anderson of Suede,the English wanker,blur and its just fucking too LOUD..........
The scooter boy,Eddy before was too busy with his Italian made machine with his mate Yassier,Dedek bojot,Saiful of United Kids of Oi!!,and Sejoli Scooter boy when Zaid met Ethelbert in the first International Kuching Jazz Festival (I.K.J.F).This 18 years old boy work as a volunteer at the event for the sake of music while Zaid is also one of the crew(Camera man).There's nothing much about them.Its just some kinda similarity in their chemistry that is the boy was a pot smoker so do Zaid untill a day they hang out together and Ethelbert offering himself to be the band guitarist as the band slot is still empty. This is the time when the four of them were in dillema of choosing the band name either they wanna use the original name that is nerd or something new, and it end with THE ZOO.So the boys now doing some audition searching for a drummer and there it is.Ivan(dedek) one of the scooter boy join the line up.The first 2 month was'nt going well when Ivan turn down himself to further his studies.
Then Zaid invite his own cousin, ahlot( Seeds) as the second guitarist as well as the band's drummer,Dave. Dave use to play with nerd around '99 but was replace by bob(chermin) after some kinda clash.So a few song was composed and been jammed.At first they were offered by a label from Indonesia, Napi record by Firman.This is sort of Underground scene label at Bandung.But they can't turn up to that country of Broery Marantika because of financial problem.They keep up growing their band in their own hometown, playing some small gig and festival.In the late of 2003, Eddy the bassist quit the band fly to Singapore and work as a barber there.He form his own band there with Muzzier.He was replace by Khairul SI nasi putih, but that dwarf dont seem to rock himself as he was to drowned with his junk stuff.
Just as the 2 guys left,Ahlot quit himself and carry on with his own band Seeds.The 2 slot was leave empty about a years untill Wandy(U.V) turn up as a bassist and Noah(U.V) replacing ahlot.They then record themself their demo but refuse to release it.After few month with the band, Noah quit and form his own band with his cousin that's called The Farrah.He was then replaced by Zuhal,freelance musician from Jakarta that noise himself here at the land of hornbill.He build up a studio for Nerd and their life was in that studio night and days.Unfortunately Zuhal luck seems to be not with the band and he fly back to Jakarta and record himself his very own demo called 1984.Still he keep in touch with the band and longed to bring them there.
So that was nerd till now,with the new morning glory,the last blood sweat and tears ZAID,DAVE,WANDI AND ETHELBERT....JUST DUN MIND AS THEY ARE NOT DAT DAMN WANKER..THEY ARE THE GLORY.....THANK YOU FOR THE SUPPORT.
