| About Book Club |
Book Club is comprised of two kids, Craig Almquist and Joe Giuffirda, who do not want to/can not do anything but music. Book Club tries to combine their love of Pop, Folk, and Rock and Roll into their sound while meshing their influences in to one (hopefully) pretty noise. Musically Book Club is simple sincere lyrics put to music that is meant to make your toe tap and your head bop.
The Philadelphia based duo has been writing together since the summer of 2007. While Book Club’s full line up fluctuates from show to show, their performance does not. Book Club shows are full of energy and excitement and manage to not forget the performance aspect to a live concert.
Currently Book Club is in the process of recording their debut EP which is set to release in the summer/fall of 2008. In the meantime, look for Book Club around your nearest record store basement, house party, or concert hall.
"Groovy dance with Trombone and Glockenspiel. If you can get geeked about Black Kids and Jay Reatard (CMJ buzz bands), perhaps you can get geeked about Book Club. Indie that sounds anything like Book Club is pretty rare around York and Harrisburg..." -PARocks.com
