About me:
Bonnie Lynn Raitt was born on November 8th,1949 in Burbank California.She is the daughter of Broadway legend John Raitt.His music as well as blues singers such as Fred McDowell and folk singers such as Joan Baez had a major influence on Bonnie.She went on to Harvard after graduating from Oakwood Friends School.She met Dick Waterman and was introduced to blues legends such as Buddy Guy and Muddy Waters.Bonnie signed with Warner Brothers in 1971.She went on to record 12 albums under the label.She lost her deal with them in 1986.She also ended a long struggle with alcohol abuse.She got sober and signed with Capitol Records in 1989.Nick Of Time went on to win 4 Grammys and sell 4 million copies."I'll never get over this as long as I live" she said after winning that night. She continues to record under Capitol and her latest CD is Souls Alike.
