Bonnie started studying music at age four and wrote her first songs when she was 10 years old. She went to The High School of Performing Arts and the Juilliard School for acting, and got a Master's degree in creative writing from the Iowa Writers' Workshop before finally setting her sights on a music career when she moved to Berlin in 1992. After touring extensively for several years, she met her husband on a meditation weekend in Germany and began a spiritual journey that changed her songwriting from considerations of unrequited love to messages of universal meaning. In 2003 she went to Los Angeles to record an album with world-class musicians, including Jim Cox (Ringo Starr, Mark Knopfler), Greg Liesz (Joni Mitchell, Sheryl Crow) and Dan Higgins (Vonda Shepard), among others. But before she could finish the recording, a long-hoped-for dream came true: Bonnie became a mother. After a few years' break to bring up her daughter, Bonnie completed the LA album - now titled "Spiral" - in Munich.

White seeds are floating
Out of my burst pod.

Hello Bonnie, thanks a lot for your kind words. I really enjoy listening to your songs. Especially the second one is great! Have a nice week and best wishes, Volker
Thanks so much for the add and for the kind words about my tunes. Your music is wonderful. Great singing and writing. Are you going to put more tunes on your page? I'd love to hear what Greg did with you. I played in bands with him from High School through the 70s, something he omits in his bios (hmm wonder why?). Best to you in your career.
