Born into a musical family in Quebec, Canada, Bob Webb has been an accomplished singer / songwriter since the 1970s.
At the beginning of his career, and for over 10 years, Bob toured Western Canada as part of a group, a duo and as a solo artist. During those years, he won four BC Country Music Association songwriting awards and one song "Feeling Guilty" went to No. 1 on the Alberta Country Music Charts circa 1990.
Bob now makes his home in Morrison Heights near Wakefield, Quebec with his lovely wife Judi. His rich voice is blended with a fusion of traditional country, folk and gospel. And while Bob's musical talents are wide-ranging, its his songwriting ability which has truly distinguished him as an artist. Bob conveys much in simple lyrics and melodies and his songs have touched both friends and fans alike.
Many of us have been encouraging (and harrassing) Bob to record an album since setting up Dovecott Studio in 1995. In early 2000, "Sailor's Delight," Bob's first CD was released. The debut album features a selection, or small sample, of this prolific writer's work and spans the length of his musical career. Our only question now is, "when is volume two"?
