Bob Humid (also known as Robert Edwin Feuchtl Mato) is one of the most renown producers in the Cologne electronic music scene. He was born in Montevideo, Uruguay, but grew up in Germany for most of the time. He was one third of the Electronic Body Music / Kunstlied-Formation "Der Liederkranz" (with Frank Richerzhagen & Frank Weese) in the late 1980s and early 1990s, which tend to confuse Gothics with their nutty costumes and unexpected musical attitudes on a regular basis. He has organised & co-organised many activities in Cologne’s electronic music underground including "Mos Eisley" (with DJ Tetsuo), "Twist’n’Shout" (with Uh-Young Kim), "Is It Now?", "Radical Love Area" and "Vectrax" (with Telekolleck). He has also run the two record labels named Bored Beyond Belief (1995 - along with Wolfgang Schreck from Big Noise fame) and Serve & Destroy Recordings.
He was also the technological editor for the German GROOVE Magazine for almost six years as a successor to Christian Rindermann (aka C-Rock) and he gained reputation in the German Keyboards / Sound & Recording Magazine where he worked as a technological author. Along testing studio & DJ gear he is known for being a producer with a strong affinity for detail.
Over the years he has gained a growing reputation as a dedicated mastering engineer. Under the Credit of his own studio "Fat Of Excellence", which he runs together with Numinos, he mastered countless records for Boxer Sport, Mathias Schaffhaeuser’s Ware Records, Pagoda London, Plasteline, Audiolith (Plemo, Der Tante Renate, Bratze), Patrick Alavi, Kitbuilders, Suburban Trash, Television Rocks, Dan Curtin and many other Indiependent-Labels and artists.

Producing the digital various artists compilation series "Geyser Lounge" on his own label Geyser contributes to his pristine jazz/funk-inspired electronica style reaching from downtempo/trip hop to drum & bass- and house-oriented grooves. "Vol. 1" contains twelve tracks by different artists partly known from the "Effusion 1" compilation such as Krautiopharm, Pattysplanet, Schow, Manudub Soundsystem or Kat 5ive. The new artists on board are German trip hop producer Spied, breakbeat artist Salicious, Krautiopharm's disco house project Discodelic Orchestra, Japanese idm artist Massa Takemoto as well as tho-ra’s downtempo project Little Picnic featuring twila.too.
