Sounds Like
Reptile boy vocals being sung in the same room with many guitars, a bass, two drumsets, a Wurlitzer, several keyboards, mediocre talent, fragile egos, some soft tacos, a piece of pizza, and several Diet Cokes.
Boat's history is a long and illustrious journey. One that is not easily described here. It began with a young man and a dream. Then this dream became a reality. And this reality became so very real that Boat decided to leave their homes and play all kinds of shows.
You guys were lots of fun. Keep up the good work. p.s. we couldn't help but notice the SWELL gum. you had already won us over, but that launched you to the top of the charts.
yeah ok. you were right. i did regret not getting up on stage wtih everyone. but i still don't agree that better pictures of the stage were to be had from up on the stage :P i'll get it right at the next show :)
thanks for having us play. heard you fellas brought the Biko to its knees. speaking of which, i woke up this morning on the beaches of Isla Vista with some hot 'skirt' steak. the ladies of this town sure can dance !
oh boat- you guys were so awesome last night. we can't thank you enough for playing! we can't wait to listen to our cds and vinyl and sport our bitchen BOAT t's. you guys are truly amazing - if not only for tetrising all your gear in your sweet lil ride! xoxo! ~sqgs
i know those topless ladies love you "muchos" but they need to watch it bigtime. I think they blacklisted Chico now. P.S. buy a BOAT shirt and cover up!
You guys brought Kirby Puckett honor last night. Sorry I couldn't hang afterward for complete wiffleball destruction. Hope to see you in Bellingham in a month! - Noah
P.S. I am doing a feature on that show in this local music paper. I'll bring a copy up for y'all when we're there in August.
And to all Boat fans: In the spirit of the baseball trading card theme...As much as I would have loved to have simply collected all 25 cards with the deluxe edition, I am unable--economy being what it is, you know--to make the transcontinental trip to see a show, so if anyone was willing to part with and make a trade for their Dale Murphy card, let me know. I love that man.
come to Chico,CA..... You are loved and appreciated here muchos. Id'e say look into either The Senator Theater, possibly Cafe Coda.... maybe a concert in the town park, (beautiful atmosphere).. Hope you consider.
