| Blue Collar: General Info
|
| Member Since | 9/8/2005 | | Band Website | bluecollarrock.com | | Band Members | Michael Blair - vocals, percussion: His liability to compare his vocal stylings to many of the greats such as Mick Jagger, Paul McCartney, and Steven Tyler is constantly backed-up by the way his voice recreates their old time hits. Michael Blair has indefinitely made a name for himself on Long Island. His broad vocal range delivers an ecstatic performance of almost little indifference to his great rock n roll predecessors.
Rich Powers - bass guitar, vocals: formerly with the band "Slacker", the man behind his instrument proves to be righteous in the art of bass guitar, as well as vocals contributing into the smooth melodic sing song of Blue Collar. His sultry, rock-derived presence helps brace the heavy jabs he formulates into the sonance any fan can only hope to hear.
Elvis Rockmoore-guitar, vocals: As quoted by his fellow bandmate, "Elvis could play next to the greats. His talent is far more admirable than some of the guitarists you see signed these days." And boy, does he exploit those MTV cliche'd guitarists. The quick movement of his fingers that grace the guitar radiates his omnipotence over his instrument and the crowd. His overpowering vibrations will cause anyone to not only move accordingly to the sound he creates, but first handedly view how a real musician puts the icing on the cake.
Jim Nappi - guitar, vocals, keyboard, harmonica: the man of all instruments proves to be a viable source of talent. His voice morphs into the musical idols he oustandingly promotes and his passion for rock n roll, along with his ear for musical innovation, conjunctively ignite Blue Collar's deliverance of tasteful music.
Last, but certainly not least...
Tom Gregory - Drums: formerly with the band The Latest, can create a beat either by banging on a trash can or his car's steering wheel. Sitting him in front of a drum set causes an awesome outcome that is somewhat similar as if Beethoven was placed in a piano store. Either way, his quick stick movement, in addition to his ear for rhythmic beats captures all the instrumental sounds around him and leads them into a rhythmic sensation. His work ethic and moreover, drumming talent, finalize what constitutes a straight up, damn fine musician.
In all, these bandmates continuously prove that rock is always evolving, good music surely never dies, and in all modesty, are damn good at what they do. | | Influences | BLUE COLLAR recreates the hits of their musical influences.

| About Blue Collar |
BLUE COLLAR is the number 1 working man's band from Long Island, New York; playing gritty, blues-based, classic rock, and blending with today’s music to salute and honor all the working stiffs in the world.
BLUE COLLAR began when four guys (Tom Gregory, Rich Powers, Elvis Rockmoore, Michael Blair) started playing rock n roll music together in high school. They all shared a common dream - to crank out some rock music loud enough to make their ears bleed and drive their parents whack. Playing at local bars and venues, they not only made the scene, they WERE the scene. As years went by, gettin' older did not mean losing the dream and with their simple formula of rock array and dedication to good tunes as well as their fan base, they eventually banded together again, increased their musical talent (Jim Nappi), and as a result, now have their very own loyal following in and around Long Island.
