Blueb1rd was formed by Calista Williams and Patrick Kavanagh ('06) and are currently based in Aberystwyth (Wales, UK).
We try to sing from the heart, keep the sound spare and write as honestly as we can...

we're gonna be at two rivers festival 5 & 6 July - in Chepstow. I know it ain't Aber, but it ain't stinky london either. any interest in coming down? we got an extra tent!
love to hear your songs. sorry i'm shit at keeping in touch.
Well done for the weekend! A pair of really nice gigs. It's only a shame that there weren't bigger audiences for both nights. Still, life goes on and hopefully they'll pick up as time goes on. You all deserved bigger if not better. Was a pleasure anyway and I hope the return trip in the back of the van hasn't left any lasting hunchback tendencies on Patrick! See you soon, J.
No, cheers and thank YOU. Without you the evening would not have been possible. Several people in the Black last night made references to the 'Irish fellow'. You made quite an impression I believe. When is your next comedy outing?
What a splendid evening! Made all the more so by your beeeeayuuuutiful music! Why don't you put that lovely lovely unaccompanied (sp?) trad duet on your page... pretty please? Gwaaaan. Please?

Greetings from Thailand, i am missing both of you immensely. But not too much that i lose my appetite and abilities in walking and the like. Thailand is fanblooming tastic, been spending the past three days teaching monks in a local temple, it has been an extremely interesting and enjoyable experience to say the least.
How are things in Aberdabba? How is the album coming along? i am expecting only great things!
good to be among your friends :) i got addicted to your music :)) i listen to it a lot. still can't forget you playing in the bay back in summer when i was in aber, you were brilliant guys! :D see you again sometime!
What a nice surprise, just when we thought we'd pretty much heard it all! Excellent songs (Martin hears echoes of George Melly from the last time he heard him at Ronnie Scott's in 'You and Me') and the recordings are clear and warm, great for 'first takes' - we think that's the best way to record anyway and would say "Stick with 'em!"
Good luck with your album, we look forward to hearing more music from you.
I have been listening to your new songs constantly since you made them non-profit. The part in Lately I where paddy comes in with the line "whats a poor soul to do" is geeenius, gives me a small shiver down my spine. You must keep that on the final recording!
Anyway, your recent musical endeavours have made me pick up my guitar today and record a song. So go and a listen you sea residing scumbags or die!
