Bill's inspiration to become a musician started after seeing The Beatles appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show. He started playing piano at the age of 8, and through college studing music composition/orchestration and playing in jazz bands, rock bands, musicals, etc. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Music. In 1981, he joined a (Elvis/Buddy Holly) tribute show band and (to add to the show) became the first (post Beatles) John Lennon impersonator. Bill states: "This was right after John was killed..(and when I started doing the tribute), the audience response was phenomenal. It was an emotional experience..." After playing in Las Vegas show bands through the 80s, he settled in LA in 1987, doing studio work & playing clubs. In 1992, he scored music for a demo of EERIE, INDIANA (TV) and there got the film scoring bug. Since, he has written music for three films and two TV series. Live and in the studio Bill has played for Nichelle Nichols, Tim Russ, Chase Masterson, Robert Picardo, Ethan Phillips, Neil Norman,The Swing Kings, Charles Givings, 50s groups: The Coasters, The Penguins, The Olympics, etc. His latest film score is "RODDENBERRY ON PATROL", a Star Trek film directed by Tim Russ. Today, he continues writing music for films, TV, and corporate videos.
