Where the hell are decent programs hiding nowadays???
Ah, I remembered there is QI with Stephen Fry and Top Gear. Oh, and American Chopper, Myth Busters and Marky's particular favourite - Total Fishing!! Why an 8 month-old would be addicted to a low-budget fishing program I don't know but put it on and he is transfixed all the way through!
I also forgot to mention I detest football so there is no point trying to interest me in it in a conversation.

About me: Kick-ass drummer (and doting dad)
I am the drummer for Skeleton Crew and can confidently say that in all the years I have been drumming, THIS is the GREATEST band I have ever been a part of. The style is along the lines of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal (nwobhm) with a bit of American rock thrown in (think Guns and Roses/Motley Crue). It may sound like an outdated genre but amazingly it is enjoying a resurgence. Emo and similar bouncy pop rock seems to be slowly fading and more teenagers are discovering bands like Iron Maiden, Guns and Roses, Motorhead, Motley Crue, Magnum, and so many others. The days when these guys were really big was when British rock was a force to be reckoned with. If you want to know what they sound like, go to Skeleton Crew's page (don't forget to add us) myspace.com/skeletoncrewuk and have a look at the friends for these bands. Also check out http://skeletoncrewrocks.com for the official site.
I learnt to play to this style of music and was never in a band playing it, strangely. That rectified I having been loving playing some great gigs with the guys and hopefully we'll play somewhere near you soon.
In the mean time, here is the video for the single that we have just released. If you go to the Skeleton Crew profile you will be able to read that if you pay to download the single, you get a second song free and you'll get the album for only £5 when it comes out. TAHT HAS to be a good deal. Have a think about it while you watch this!!
Here are the videos from our appearance on the main stage at Rock City for the 'Concert For Liam' on Easter Sunday.
This is 'If This Is It' but it was caught half way through. We are awaiting the full version at the moment but it's a taster.
This is 'Soul', a personal favourite of many people I know.
'All Or Nothing', one of my very favourite tracks to play.
The live version of our single 'How Come I'm Never Around'
Finally, the track we finished with. 'All Or Nothing'
Hope you enjoyed them as much as we enjoyed playing them (possibly not, lol)
In other news....Having given up working to stay at home to look after Mark, I am having the time of my life. The lack of money is not so much fun but then, I am not really bothered about that very much. I have the most incredible little boy who is about to turn 2 years old. He is my ultimate joy and I can't imagine life without him any more.
Oh yeah, and I also investigate the paranormal! Yes, I check out hauntings. I don't mind if you don't believe, I do and have had more strange experiences than I can count. If you don't believe me then try a night at the Galleries Of Justice or Derby Gaol and try denying the existance of the paranormal afterwards. There is more going on than we are aware of and it is damned fun checking it out. Check out the stuff on http://ghostsofnottingham.co.uk because there is alot of very real stuff on there gathered by the members. I have recently left GoN and formed a team of my own which just happens to be made up of the GoN investigation team who followed me out. We are known as SPIRIT - Supernatural and Paranormal Incident Research and Investigation Team. If you have a haunting you want checking out then let me know.
Click the picture above to visit the julie Cotton Foundation website
I am working with the Julie Cotton foundation at the moment, building them a website and running their myspace. They are putting on an event called Concert For Liam and is a tribute to Liam Doeherty an 8 yr old boy who lost his fight against Leukeamia on New Year's Day. Rock City are hosting it and it is raising money for Leukeamia Research who will be putting the money into funding for the Haematology Unit at Nottingham City Hospital. Please click on the banner, add the foundation as a friend and display the banner yourselves. It is an eminently worthy cause and your support will mean a great deal to Liam's Family. Thanks.
Who I'd like to meet: God - to ask "Chavs; WHY?????"
Loads of the bands that inspired me to start drumming and gave me something to play along to whilst learning my craft. Of particular note would be to Iron Maiden, Saxon, Magnum, Rush (though I still can't play like Neil Peart), Love/Hate (have met them YAY!!) and The Darkness (good luck Justin).
