| About Better Outside kansas |
They all started playing in a band called Marshall Branch (which included, some peroidically and others permanently, Jacob Lay, Andy Faas, Chase Clark, Carey Coliver, Cole Clark, Jesse Eads, and Andy Sunda) about a year ago and then some things happened...you know, disagreements, conflicting styles, and other personal things. One at a time-Cole-then Jesse- then Chase- were all kicked out of that band (every thing is cool now). Jesse, Chase, and Cole decided to start a new band called Better Outside kansas. So they worked hard, put some songs together, and played their first show as a 3 piece (Chase-guitar Jesse-Bass and Cole-Drums) at East Jessamine High. Most of the original inspiration came from the whole band dispute including discontinued songs like"at least i didnt lose your keys" and "drugs can replace friends". With the help of Jesse's mom's boyfriend, they put a demo together really quick on a 4-track tape recorder. Ben joined the band as the new bass player when Jesse was planning on moving to North Carolina, but Jesse ended up coming back and filling the lead guitar spot after a short period of time. Amelia Baker gradually just started playing, first with acoustic orion, then for all the others as they began to realize how much the piano could add the their music and originallity. Then Jesse quit the band he helped create for many reasons involving personal arguments with other band members and musical disagreements. BOkansas
