To celebrate moving to the first Sunday of every month (bang after everyone’s pay-day!) we’re doing things differently this time around by putting on a huge bill of live bands in a rocktober special! A massive bill showcasing of some of the best up-and-coming bands right now, alongside resident DJs/VJs dropping eclectic dance beats/visuals throughout.
The rocktober special features some of our favourite bands on scene right now including Stolen records gems Artefacts for Space Travel, alongside a band described by many as one of the UK’s most exciting Pull In Emergency. Also on the bill a wide range of sounds from folk in the afternoon, to abrasive alternative bands in the evening, with our resident DJs spinning
the best in cutting edge dance music in-between. Another great mix of music and a huge day of Sunday fun!

Another great Stolen Records band, Artefacts For Space Travel are a young three piece from South London who have recently been impressing everyone who comes across them, with rave reviews from the likes of Rough Trade and Artrocker magazine. The six song debut release mixes up psychedelic heavy pulsing rock and fuzzy pop. Trust us; It sure works!
Pull In Emergency *live*
This young bunch of teenagers have been causing quiet a stir on the indie seen of late and have been rightly tipped ones to watch closely. The band released their debut single ‘Why Aren’t You Dancing/Follow?’ in August 2008 on Mute Records to huge acclaim from press and radio alike. Having been labled 'One of the UK's most thrilling new groups' in The Guardian and now championed by Steve Lamacq and Zane Lowe on Radio 1, the band are set for a very bright future.
LR Rockets *live*
Heavy rock n roll direct from East London. Artrocker faves LR Rockets are not afraid to rip up the rule book, raid their favourite Jonathan Richmond and Devo tunes, and mix it up with their own mix of what it takes to get people dancing. A huge sounding belching brace of brazenly barnstorming boot banging boogie!
The Hyenas *live*
The Hyenas are a gutter-punk-trash-garage band from Camden/Essex. Now a tight, 3-piece unit; comprising three boys who are busy gigging up and down the UK. Their sound is hard, fast and uncompromising as they race through a giddy-paced set of rock 'n' roll mayhem & delights! Dirty-arsed, gutter-fucked, sleaze-driven, garage-trash! More beautiful noise-on-toast!

mAn-fLu, an infectious yet unusual 4 piece band. Expect an intriguing mix of strange indie sounds sure to draw you in.

From deep in the heart of Hackney, Morning Bride are a fresh sounding five-piece who meld the genres of country and blues with Americana and folk and have recently received glowing reviews in The Independent and Plan B Magazine.
