Who I'd like to meet: I would like to meet some new friends and anyone that loves God or wants to know more about Him. And of course a tall, dark ,and handsome prince! Well ok he could be short with blue eyes if he was a nice guy ...I am always willing to compromise..LOL
We are still ok, but power is still off, our neighbor let us use an extention cord to their generator and the generator is sometimes on and sometimes off, as the gas runs out etc... so trying not to use it. I posted a bulletin with a lot more detail, and a blog, not sure it it all seams thrown together, but thought I should get something out there for all those concerned. We are ok, but want this to get over with... I WANT THE POWER BACK!!!
We are thanking God for so much right now, so many have it so much worse than we do, and others lost everything...
Joseph and Benjamin are having fun with their friends everyday and not being in school for a week!

Well we have a HUGE catagory 2 hurricane that is turning into a catagory 3 hurricane heading directly for our house!!!
We have dear friends staying with us that were under the mandatory evacuation and may have their homes flooded but we are worried about the 100 mile an hour winds that they say are coming. Galveston Island is going to be UNDER water and that is a lot to deal with...
This is a HUGE storm and still 10 hours away and places 45 miles away are flooding, wind is picking up fast in our area and the skies are BLACK!!! To late to leave now, freeways are deadlocked and hotels are full for 300 miles.
We boarded up our windows and stood in line for hours to buy extra food, have full gas tanks, we don't expect major damage, but know that many people will have MAJOR damage!!!
THANKS TOBEY!!! We are glued to the T.V. as it is heading right our way... We are 70 miles from Galveston and it will lesson, but go right over us!!! A little nervous YES! But doing all we can, shopping at the stores, no bread no water on the shelves, all gas stations empty, feels weird, but we feel okay, still may need to leave - so THANKS for the prayers!!!
Hey chica, Thanks for listening to me vent the other day. I normally try to focus on all the good. Thanks for the encouragement also. I am doing so much better today, and even though our internet, cable, car, and valuables are being taken again. It's a good reminder of what's really important. We have been through so many ups and downs, especially financial in his years of military service, but no one can ever take our Faith in God, or our Love for Him away. We are the truly blessed ones, to suffer in this life. I always say, when you have lost everything, but gain Christ, you find...you have lost nothing and gained everything! Sometimes my comments are more for me than anything else, but glad I could help. I really have been struggling with my vision for my future... to balance family, interests, passion, well-being, etc.
I've seen a few of your status updates - made me think we may have been going through similar things... would have been nice to be able to lean on each other a little more. I have been in a very rough place for the past few months... and lots of prayer, determination and clinging to God (some anti depresion medicine and a theripist too) have helped me come out of it... I am finally feeling like ME again! I have to say....
If there is anything I can do for you, a way I can be a better friend, please let me know! I love you Tobes and we all need friends to encourage us even if sometimes they are far away!
We were hanging out at our friends pool and Aidan cracked his chin wide open! YIKES!! Praise God that he didn't have to get stitches though! YA!!! They just used the dermabond glue. :) Thanks for asking babe, how are you? xoxox
