Bearin' Peace is straight out of North Jersey and is quickly building a name for themselves by blending
together a clever mix of reggae, roots and rock n' roll music. With the current music scene slowly dying with
an over saturation of Emo, pop, punk and 1 hit wonder bands, it is hard for many musicians to break the mold.
Bearin' Peace doesn't take whats on MTV and remake it, they re-work the way music is thought of from the ground
up. They can open a set Rockin' with 'Drop Out', and just as quickly have everyone taping their foot to
'Graveyard Swing' without ever losing that soul that is so ominous in all of their work. Growing up in Bergenfield,
New Jersey has no doubt helped to further enhance their style. Bearin' Peace encompasses all of the Soul of the EastSide.
Members Anthony 'bear' Restifo, Pete Stolba, Nick Paull and Lubo Smilenov all reside in Bergenfield, and each member brings forth
their own personal style of play, and musical taste into the mix. With Classic Lead guitar Riffs laid down by Pete,
funky and smooth basslines laid down by Nick, and Smooth, reggae vocals and rhythm guitar laid down by Bear, a lot
is brought together to form a unique sound. Not to mention Keyboard
arrangments, and John's hard hitting drum style which also add to the authenticy of the group. There are not many shows you can go to where you can
groove to a smooth reggae tune, dance to a swing song, and rock yourself content all in one set, yet Bearin' Peace
never manages to let down, without ever losing that soul and that Bearin' Peace, North Jersey' vibe.
