Moon	Jul 18 2008 6:39 PM Hello! I want to THANK YOU ALL for running the emergency shelter up here in Lincoln County for all the animals and people affected by the flood. My boyfriend and I had to drop off our 3 cats and 3 baby kittens when we were forced to leave after the levee broke. It was a big load of my mind knowing my animals were safe. I want you to know that the little baby kitten that was brought to the trailer while we were up in Winfield (the one who was found in the flood waters in the scrapyard...and the one we put with my nursing mommy) is doing great!!!! He is getting so fat. And he now has his "forever home" as soon as he weans in a couple weeks. We have named him "Lucky", and he truly is. Thank you all so much and I will continue to praise your efforts and donate monetarily to the best of my ability! Hugs from Old Monroe, Lincoln County, MO!!! love you all! thanks Carmen...and Holly W. and everyone else I came in contact with!

Bring food, drink, your dog/your friend’s dog, or just bring yourself. PLEASE DON’T LET THE NAME OF THIS EVENT SCARE YOU AWAY ALL DOGS ARE WELCOME. If you have never been to Castlewood there are grills on site and trails to wander throughout the park as well as open fields to throw a football or baseball.
