Avocado Lounge started their harmonious magic in the cold winter of '04 in a little shack on the Piscataqua River. Paul, an acoustic guitar player for years heard Jennie, who was spending her days performing in operettas and musicals, randomly singing and tinkering with the piano at a Christmas party. He had been searching for another acoustic player to gig with when heard her vocals and thought to himself, "I think I could work with that..."
Not playing the guitar herself, Jennie took to the rhythm section and is now a solid tambourine, shaker and djembe player. Not even a year after their first rehearsal, the duo was off to the south of France landing gigs in the local bars of Provence. Nine months of stumbling through the language, meeting and playing with great musicians and practicing in between travels and french class, they have grown into a tight dynamic duo with a culturally eclectic repertoire of music containing everything from originals to reggae, jazz, blues and bluegrass.
