Artist Opportunity/Call For Submissions: 2008 Berkshire Fringe Seeks Dynamic New Works for the Stage
Bazaar Productions has announced the release of open applications to the fourth annual Berkshire Fringe. Over the last three years, the festival has hosted more than 100 performers and presented three-dozen new works that have blended genres, represented new styles, and delved into traditions underrepresented in the mainstream. We are dedicated to supporting the work of emerging artists.
The 2008 Festival will feature 21 days of dynamic new works of theater, dance and multi-media performances by diverse artists from across the United States and right here at home.
The 2008 Berkshire Fringe will take place during July and August. Six companies or individuals will participate. All artists receive:
-A state of the art theater space -Housing on our beautiful campus -Assistance with marketing and publicity, -Free tickets to all performances and events -Extensive support from technical and front of house staff -50% of box office sales

The Collective theatre is now interviewing actors to train and develop for FREE.... Looking for SERIOUS Actors only who are interested in training in Theatre, Monologue and Scene Study, etc...Students enrolled in the class that meet requirements will be considered for possible representation as well as get first auditions for play readings and performances. I believe that anyone wishing to undertake the arduous task of the study of acting should be given as much encouragement and guidance as possible. As a playwright, actor and coach I strive to encourage student actors to pursue theatre in a manner that best suits their individual interests, aspirations and abilities. The wonderful thing about teaching actors is the requirement for individualized teaching and attention which makes it unlike any other kind of instructional academic environment. My goal is to challenge and nurture the creative energy of students while fostering enthusiasm on their part for personal discovery of the acting process. I believe that the acting process is different for each student.
