The album 'Calamity Distilled' is on its way but this new record is basically Mike with his J200 and magical keyboard player, J.Roll, providing atmospherics and ambience and Sam Harley on Bass. Think along the lines of Blue Nile produced by Daniel Lanois!
The Album is being recorded at Mike's Gloucestershire studios and Sam's Portobello Rd studios where they have also started recording Sam's solo album called 'Trout'.
On the player are 4 instrumental melody/ demo ideas that are growing into songs on Calamity Distilled played by Mike on the J200 and Zoe (daughter) loves 'em -so here they are. Lucher Blues makes a great ringtone, so feel free. I like listening to it so much I sometimes forget to answer the damn phone!.
For A Fully Mastered CD copy of last release 'El Secreto' please contact Airwave Records by email - mikele@airwaverecords.com (YOU MUST ENTER "ASPIRIN DIARIES" IN THE SUBJECT FIELD OR OUR SPAM SERVER MAY BOUNCE YOUR REQUEST!)
Aspirin Diaries is a group fronted by Mike Edwards ( ex A/M & CGD Records) on vocals and acoustic guitar, Sam Harley (ex Hannibal Records) on all sorts of acoustic and electric guitars, Dik Cadbury (ex Transatlantic & Charisma) on guitars, fiddle and mandolin, John Acock ..boards and mixing desk and Derek Adams on drums, percussion and Harmonica.
Mike was with Live Wire on A/M Records before moving to CGD Records in Italy where he had a No 2 chart hit with his song ‘Beat Of My Heart’. On returning to the UK he signed to a subsidiary of Island Records and spent a year making an album that was never released. Frustrated by others’ decisions he formed Airwave Records, an independent record label that focused primarily on song writers and worked closely with Hugh Harris and released his CD ‘Flowers’. Finding that other aspiring singers and writers the company supported were flakey (and that’s being kind!) he streamlined the company to be an outlet for a small ‘collective’ - currently Aspirin Diaries’.

Love what you guys are doing here, back to basics with stunning sounds and clarity. I would love a full copy of your studio produced stuff, it would allow me to hear so much more than the compressed files we are able to down load at the moment. But hey... thanks, and please let me have a c.d( to include p&p ) Thanks guys, and Bless up. Dom
