Your world is colored in harmonious, peaceful, natural colors. While some may associate green with money, you are one of the least materialistic people around. Comfort is important to you. You like to feel as relaxed as possible - and you try to make others feel at ease. You're very happy with who you are, and it certainly shows! Your color wheel opposite is red. Every time you feel grounded, a red person does their best to shake you.
"The musical theater major combines her classical training with plenty of pop sensibilties, creating a sound like no other in music and drawing fans from almost any genre...Another potential gem from the depths of Myspace Music."

"Ashley Wool has a voice like a diva, the soul of a punk rocker... But no, you can't just put her in a box like that. There are elements of funk and heavy rock and roll in her music, too, coy hints of Ani DiFranco and Alanis Morrisette... plus maybe even an ironic echo going back to Captain Beefheart or Frank Zappa. And through it all, there is that voice, theater trained and yet hell-bent to rock out and have fun, like a more rocking Kelly Clarkson. Not that Ashley is interested in winning American Idol."
-BLAMF!
"Not Otherwise Specified is a refreshing departure from the run of the mill music of mainstream singers; yes, even the Idol cast-offs."
-Indie Music Stop
"19-year-old American singer-songwriter Ashley Wool comes across as being very assertive and forthright, which is a great thing when releasing independent music. She is one of the many good discoveries for 2007...I suggest you have a listen to her vocal capabilities and witty, mature storytelling. As this was recorded in 2006 I am keen to hear her next set of songs."
-Carmine Pascuzzi, Mediasearch.com
"One problem I noticed was that you tend to always sing .....most pop acts today seem like they don't do that so much."
-My choral director
"My favorite singer used to be Aaron Carter, but then I heard Ashley, and she's like, way better than Aaron Carter."
-Guy in my eighth grade math class
College senior, Musical Theatre major, Communication minor, proud choir geek, vocal schizophrenic, double Gemini, nature nerd, lactose-intolerant vegetarian, and starving artist in training.
Sometimes I think I'm living a life that doesn't fit me...or perhaps it's just that my personality is comprised of too many contradictions and oxymorons for me to be truly fulfilled. But I am finally starting to believe that I'm getting there, and that my music will help me get there faster--or at least appreciate the journey more thoroughly.
My sophomore album (in the works) will be called Right Now, But Not Yet. Release date TBA...in the meantime, you can pick up a copy of my first album, Not Otherwise Specified, on CD Baby or iTunes.
Bright Crayon Uprising!!
I'm currently working out promotion plans for my upcoming single, which, if you hadn't already guessed, will be "Disposable (The Crayon Song)." If you haven't heard "The Crayon Song" yet, I suggest you take a look at the video below. It's bold, it's blunt, and in my not-so-humble opinion, it flippin rocks.
Part of the process will involve making the live video as viral as possible, so as to generate buzz (and potentially funding) for the recording and, I'm hoping, a music video. That's where you come in.
I'm not asking you to post up a bulletin that says "Check out this video," because, let's be honest, that will arouse nobody's interest. Embedding the video on your page might get two or three, but I'm gonna aim even higher than that.
Instead, I'd like you guys to change your MySpace and/or Facebook status to: "[So and So] is impossible to tolerate, except for when you masturbate."
*Cue uncontrollable giggling*
And then when your friends comment on it (because they will), just direct them to the video URL (http://youtube.com/watch?v=foaW0sHWKYs). Then, if they like it, encourage them to do the same status change. Bonus points if they leave a comment (and a good rating) on the video page.
Thanks for your friendship! Please send us any music or other entertainment that you would like to see featured on the RED BANANA, and keep checking back to our webzine for updates!!!
xx "On a traffic light yellow means yield, and green means go. On a banana, it's just the opposite, yellow means go ahead, green means stop, and red means, where'd you get that banana?" - Mitch Hedberg
It's not really our thing to do the "comment blast"... so we'll only do it when our albums come out, once every two years or so - so don't worry, we won't be flooding your space ;)
Just letting you know that our first album "THINGS LEFT UNSAID" is finally all done, and it's sounding great! You can hear six tracks from it on our page. If you want a copy - and hopefully you do - just send us a message and I'll get it to you ASAP. For only 10$ we'll ship the disc anywhere in the world!
It's very sad that many women around the world is a victim of discrimination and domestic violence, I'm a man who support to female musicians, because I believe in true equality of men and women, because the woman is a victim of discrimination.
I create my page thinking in musicians because, the music open minds and open hearts, the musicians can do important things for humanity with the message of the lyrics.
