Watch her impressive take on a classic

Frances Bean Cobain has taken to Instagram to share a cover of the Leonard Cohen classic ‘Hallelujah’.

The artist, model and daughter of Hole frontwoman Courtney Love and the late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain received much praise from fans and followers for her rendition of the track.

Along with her latest run through of the 1984 classic (later given a legendary cover by Jeff Buckley among many others), 2016 saw Frances Bean cover Jimmy Eat World’s pop punk anthem ‘The Middle‘ while dressed as Fred Flinstone.

Last year to mark what would have been Kurt Cobain’s 50th birthday, Frances Bean shared an emotional text message from her grandmother.

In it, Frances said: “I know he is thankful that you raised me to be as strong & compassionate as you are”, before Wendy Cobain replied: “You were such a caring loving little girl and have turned into such a beautiful young women, he would be so ‘smugly’ proud of you”.

Last year, Bean also admitted that she has no time for 1990s nostalgia – a period in which Nirvana cemented their reputation as one of the biggest bands in the world.

“I don’t fucking care what they did in the ’90s; I wasn’t around and it’s not relevant to me, Yes the ’90s were influential, for sure, but it’s just not my cup of tea”, she admitted.

“When it’s shoved down your throat every day for 24 years, you just stop caring.”

Last year, Frances Bean also launched her own cookery platform on Instagram to share food tips and recipes.
