Looks like people don't wanna call these ghostbusters.
While we've all been looking forward to reboots like Gilmore Girls or the well-received return of Fuller House, it seems that the upcoming remake of Ghostbusters hasn't been getting the same love. With more than 618,000 (and growing) thumbs down on YouTube, it's the most disliked movie trailer in YouTube history.
Is it the fact that the four main characters are played by women? YES!
ScreenCrush explains it by saying, "There is a lot of hatred directed towards the new trailer, primarily because it stars four women (though the haters would have you believe misogyny is not the real driving force behind their invective) and seemingly not at all connected to its quality."
And if you're one of those who believe the Ghostbusters cast should be a bunch of dudes, the film's director Paul Feig has a message for you.
And haters, attack me all you want but when you attack and insult my cast, you've crossed the line. Grow up and leave my cast alone.
