Finally, Desiigner has released his "Panda" video. To his credit, it is an epic showing for this rap rookie. The rising New York rapper carjacks an unsuspecting individual, before he rides shotgun with Kanye West in the white Lexus X6 for which the song is named. In between scenes of that joy ride, Desiigner gets close with a woman whose naked butt is actually painted like a panda's face.

What is strange about the "Panda" video is its timing. It arrives after 'Ye featured "Panda" prominently in The Life of Pablo's "Father Stretch My Hand, Pt. 2," a co-sign that helped catapult the song—Desiigner's debut single, mind you—to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. "Panda" is now the first No. 1 single by a New York rapper in a decade, which happened almost exclusively via streaming.

All of that is to say: Desiigner's "Panda" video is a good look, though with the chart success it has had, the rapper hardly needs it. The video's exclusively on TIDAL for a week, but you don't have to be a member to watch it. Check it out below.
