We won a MySpace Impact Award!
Thank you to everybody who voted for ANTaR in the MySpace Impact Awards ... ANTaR is one of three winners !!!
We will be using our $10,000 prize to continue our campaigning work for reconciliation.
The MySpace Impact awards seek to acknowledge organisations and individuals who use MySpace effectively to make a positive impact on the world.
The colour of our culture is a starched white powdered with the blusher of an almost exterminated indigenous race that we give lip service with our handouts
and that’s only after bureaucracies paper weight has highlighted their difference and ticked their shrinking box in a language we have imported in a country we have invaded pushed into a line we have created to houses we have built on land we have claimed shrouded in sorry’s purpose built to reject any kind of land claim
Wrapped in the guilt and shame of an imperialist nature we still don’t dare to utter for recognition is repayment of everything we have hijacked and acknowledgement goes beyond what any centrelink direct debit can ever begin to layby no matter how many days are interest free
and now weeks before election day struts its humanitarian conscience into the public imagination via the privately owned and globally worshipped media monopoly we invade once again guns blazing in the fight for violence free homes
so we send the army to wage war like we send soldiers to die for oil
hoping this foray will restore some kind of peace will draw some thin line between deviance and normality
as long as it’s written in indigenous blood. ------------------

Oh you are so welcome Priscilla :) and I didn't know the about the senate's decision...however Miss Cynical that I am at times is not in the slightest bit surprised! :( I would vote for compensation given the chance to.....
