Animal Lifeline of Iowa, Inc.(ALI) is a no-kill SPECIAL NEEDS animal shelter that accepts unowned dogs and cats who are sick, injured, pregnant, nursing, orphaned or handicapped. Animal Lifeline (ALI) is supported solely by donations.ALI is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) organization.

Animal Lifeline of Iowa, Inc. operates a Thrift Shop which helps fund the shelter. Visit the Thrift Shop located on SW 9TH & PARK AVE in Des Moines. Hours of operation are Tuesday-Friday 10:00am- 6:00pm and Saturday 10:00am-5:00pm. Donations or merchandise in good condition are greatly appreciated for Re-Sale at the Thrift Shop. We accept donations Tuesday-Saturday 10:00am-4:00pm
