Justin Hayes leads a path through the snowy trail of musicdom, with the Manolovitz brothers, Nic and Marc, solidifying the sonicness and rhythemizing the spaces between stresses and unstresses.
Influences
We exist within a vacuum without any outside influences except for Smog, Pink Floyd, My Morning Jacket, Pavement, Radiohead, New Order, Palace, Will Oldham, the Zombies, the Beatles, Silver Jews, Plush, Roy Orbison, Neil Young, Leonard Cohen, Sparklehorse, the Pixies, Joy Division, the Band, Television, The Beach Boys, Willie Nelson, and Muddy Waters.
Sounds Like
Neil Young on vocals, The lead guitarist for ween on six string, the drummer from radiohead (the Bends era), Television's bassist, words by Bob Dylan, or Steve Malkmus depending on what song, with shared similarities with the Meat Puppets and Butterglory.
This is Angelworm of Maplewood MN. We started our journey in 1996 as The Dead Angels on Ice. Deciding the name was too much, we've since changed the name to Angelworm. We're comprised of Justo, the brawn behind the lyrics and guitar; Nic the bassman with all the right moves; and Marco, a 49 year old child prodigy on drums.
Our target as Angelworm is to paint soundscapes for the mind's eye. We want to make soundtracks for the age of Aquarious, with our ardently contrasting Gemini sensibilities. We are searching with panoramic eyes to find a record label that is willing to comission our efforts in making a forthcoming EP," One Synapse Left!?!".
