Jackson "Jax" Ray: lead vocals, lead guitar; Paul Stern: rhythm guitar, vocals; Mason James: drums; Kain Truce: bass. All instruments will be played by me (Kai) for the recordings.
Influences
It would be easier to answer "Who wasn't an influence?" Seriously, good musicians are influenced by everything they hear, for better or for worse. We just pray that it's never for worse. (O.o)
Sounds Like
Your typical bluesy-classic rock southern band. Only without the twang and with an occasional dash or two of psychedelic weirdness. You might get something close to the Angels' sound if you dumped Roy Orbison, George Harrison, and the Allman Brothers into a blender, seasoned the mix with a dash of Muddy Waters and a slosh each of SoCo and JD, and baked it in the Texas sun for a few weeks. Lizard topping is optional. (~-^)
Angels of the Sword are a fictional band, appearing in a web-based graphic novel of the same name. I'm in the process of recording my own songs which will accompany the comics, some of which will be available through this myspace site. I'll be playing all the instruments and doing all the vocals, so all the band members are...me! Oh, my name is Kaichi Satake, but I sometimes go by Kai Starr. The character of Jax in the story is basically me. (O.o)
Speaking of which, go read the comic. Here's a nifty little button to make it easy:

Hey. I was just reading the first comic. No escape - all the characters fresh and in your face - good stuff. And great to hear the music playing while I'm reading. What a great combination.
Yeah RPM has me buzzing, still. I'll be up for next year, alright.
