“A NEW BAND THAT INCORPORATES MUCH OF THE NEW POWER OF SWEDISH JAZZ.”
* Andreas Gidlund Quartet was founded in Göteborg in 2000.
* In the fall 2003 the debut album, ”Mandraki Beach” was released on Play
Production label. The response from the critics established Andreas Gidlund
Quartet as a new young jazz band and they wrote that the band showed good
compositions and obviously ensemble energy. The release was promoted by some
tours Swedish jazz clubs. Good tunes and irresistible energy have also
become the characteristics of the group in live performances.
* In April 2005 album number two was released on Imogena Records, ”The
Happiest Man Alive”. “It fulfilled the high expectations that first album
led to. ”The happiest man alive - is it easy to become listening to this
album.”
* Göteborg Concert Hall invited the group for a concert in February this
year. The concert was recorded for radio broadcast.
* In September 2007 Imogena Records released the third album with Andreas
Gidlund Quartet, PRESS PLAY PLEASE.

Hej alla vänner! Vi har nu kommit till vår första milstolpe som band; äntligen är vår debutplatta klar och ska släppas. Detta firar vi med en releasefest på Henriksberg där vi minglar med våra gäster, säljer vår skiva för endast 100 kr och framför allt spelar live på scen.
