Analog Velvet was born in the summer of 2002, when vocalist Alicia Burke--then singing lead with the Philadelphia Funk Authority--began writing and recording original songs with a few musician friends. Since its first public performance in November 2003 at the Icehouse in Bethlehem, Analog Velvet has kept busy playing a variety of venues from local bars to large clubs, from private parties to outdoor festivals.
Analog Velvet prides itself on blending in its music a high level of musicianship with a tunefulness easily accessible to the average listener. The band has released three CDs: 2004’s Medicine Wheels, 2006’s Tales from Podunk, and 2008's BOOM! If you'd like to be on the Analog Velvet emailing list, just drop us a line at info@analogvelvet.com.
What a shot! So, is that the 'I'm a wild child' look, or the 'death metal rocks' move? I know you guys have outgrown the death metal, so, what gives? She-devil death metal? I'm almost disturbed by this image...and then, I remember you're always more 'down with' the 'in thing' than I am...Do explain yourselves.
