Uma inocente inclinação para o mal (2008)
Ser português é não gostar de ser português, é chorar a sorte de ser português. A versão mais sofisticada do ser português faz até gala de lutar de forma, errr, quixotesca contra tudo o que possa fazê-lo sentir-se bem por ser português. Assim se explica que, em sectores influentes dados ao cepticismo pós-moderno, A Naifa não seja a pedra mais preciosa de uma qualquer portugalidade.

SOB O SIGNO DA GUITARRA
O único grupo português que reveste o fado com uma sonoridade contemporânea, mantendo a coerência e um interesse estético. Se não é o grupo de fados e guitarradas mais atípico de sempre, é a banda pop mais portuguesa da actualidade. Uma personalidade musical lusa tão marcada que, para encontrarmos exemplos semelhantes no pop, teríamos de recuar aos casos de António Variações ou da Sétima Legião. Mas como os tempos são outros, os ingredientes distanciam-nos. A Naifa é uma banda do Portugal que vivemos.

They cant play their classical Fado guitars very well; they have a punky drummer and the Fado singer not only smiles pouts and shakes her hips, but actually seems to enjoy herself ! Whats become of this country? Are they mad? Reckless, certainly. They call themselves A Naifa and what theyve done is taken a massive, ice-crunching Waring Pro blender to all the sacred potions, fruits and flavours of Portuguese traditional music and poured out a vulgar, shameless, disrespectful and utterly delicious shambles of a Pop cocktail. Heresy in old Lisbon? I nearly choked on my 30-year-old aguardente velha, but then realized I was dancing merrily and had already spilt most of it anyway.
