Hi everyone! Welcome to “my space”. :) Thanks so much for the visit. Here’s my story. I was born and raised in New Iberia, La. It was not very long into my life when I realized I loved music. I was constantly singing and bobbing my head to any tune.
My grandpa, Alfred Trautman, Sr. could see that I was fascinated with his guitar. So, one day while visiting, he handed me his guitar and showed me a few chords. I practiced those chords until my little fingers were bruised! It was all worth it, though. A few days later, while at his house, he began telling me which chords to switch back and forth to. Then, while I was doing that, he began singing Silent Night. I was SHOCKED and I couldn’t believe that I was playing a song! After that, I was hooked. I couldn’t get music out of me. So, at 7 years old, I got a guitar and began writing songs. Eventually, I ended up taking piano lessons even though I loved guitar. That was all worth it, too. This helped me to play chords to accompany my melodies that I couldn’t play on the guitar.lol.
Eventually, I started taking songwriting more seriously. I ended up joining the Nashville Songwriter’s Association and I became a member of ASCAP. In the midst of all that, I was writing and learning to perfect my songwriting skills. I’ve had a couple of honors since then. One was performing in the Colgate Country Showdown in 2003 and the other was opening with the Rockin’ Relics for Mark Chesnutt on February 16, 2008.
I am also very happy with my first album, Hot Summer Days. To hear more tunes, please scroll down to the reverb nation banner and click it. :). While you're there, sign up for my mailing list. :) THANKS!

What's Goin' On? I hope you're well. I've got a new song up titled, "Honky-Tonk Honeymoon." And I'm having another drawing for a free KC Roberts hat, the hat is in my pics. 116 people entered the last drawing by commenting on the song "She's Mine." And the winner is.......................Nancy, of New Market, Tennessee. To Enter the next drawing, All You have to do is send me a comment letting me know that you've listened to "Honky-Tonk Honeymoon," and preferably whether you liked it, and I'll enter you into the October hat drawing. The deadline is Nov.1 at midnight. So stay warm this winter in a Brand new KC Roberts hat. I hope you win. Thanks for your support. -KC
How you doing? Did I already ask you to listen to the drums on the song, "She's MIne" Everyone who enters a comment on that song before the end of the month will be in a drawing for a KC Roberts Hat, The Hat is Awesome, it's very thick, black with custom embroidery with my logo that's on my site on the front and it's trimmed out in this fine barbed wire looking embroidery. I'll post a picture of it Saturday. So if you've already commented, then good luck, but if you haven't then let me know what you think about the drums and the song. Thanks, KC
Amy Arton - Join us in congratulating record producer Kim Copeland for her work on the Rachel Williams album. Check this great review by R.K. Oermann with Music Row Magazine on Rachel's current single, The Only Thing Harder Than Leaving.
"She has the goods. This creeps up on you with cat’s paws. The languid pace, echoing instruments, spacious production and her hushed, aching delivery are all immensely seductive. The lyric of leaving home is full of terrific details. And her falsetto leaps in the bridge are like little daggers to the heart. A mini masterpiece. This, by the way, is the third single in a row that I have raved about from this performer. "
