The compositions, arrangements and recordings by Michael David Amos
Amos and Amos are Mike and Brooke Amos - a father and daughter team. Amos and Amos music is about sharing the true message Jesus taught us - LOVE - and LOVE results in giving, compassion, inclusion, healing, recovery, peace, forgiveness, priorities, caring, grace, faith, truth, honesty. Amos and Amos music is not afraid to deal with the beautiful times and the dark times experienced by everyone. Most importantly, Amos and Amos music is about the love of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amos and Amos music fuses rock, southern rock, country, folk, bluegrass, gospel and jazz to deliver music based upon the teachings of Jesus and the experiences of life. Brooke and Mike 's live performances combine compelling stories about the personal experiences behind the music. -------------------------------------
Mike Amos was born in Jacksonville, FL and later moved to Mechanicsville, VA. He began writing music in the 70's and after a long hiatus, started writing and recording again in 2003 after the loss of a good friend at the age of 42. Mike has performed with bands for over 35 years - starting out at Bluefield College where he both found salvation and began writing. Mike is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University and received his PhD in Immunology from the University of South Alabama. He is currently the Bioscience Advisor to the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Over the years, Mike has performed in many musical genres - including top 40 bands in Virginia, Alabama, Ohio and New Zealand and black gospel as lead guitarist with Larry Bland and the Volunteer Choir of Richmond, VA. In 1973, Mike asked Jesus into his heart and that set him on a path of a life of helping people. Mike's music reflects the teachings of the Gospels - the true essence of Jesus is love, inclusion, peace and truth. Not the judgement, exclusion and meanness demonstrated by many who call themselves Christians. -------------------------------------------------------
Brooke was born in Mobile, AL and grew up in New Zealand, Ohio and Minnesota. She is an up and coming singing talent who has triumphed over a severe autoimmune disease that greatly affected her life in ways that has allowed her love of Jesus to shine through her. Brooke is on a mission to share the love and truths of Jesus with the world. She started singing with her dad at age 4. Amos and Amos formed when Brooke joined her dad in 2006, lending her beautiful voice to deliver music that reflects both her struggles and victories. -----------------------------------------------------Lindsay Amos sometimes joins in with her dad and sister on percussion. Lindsay was born in Richmond, VA and grew up in Alabama, New Zealand, Ohio and Minnesota. Lindsay too, has struggled with autoimmune disease. She joined forces with her sister and dad in 2008. ------------------------------- Bruce Schneider plays guitar with Amos and Amos. Bruce was born in Washington, DC and has been playing music in bands since the 70's. Bruce's amazing touch on rythm acoustic guitar provides a depth and space the Amos and Amos's live performance.
------------------------------------------------- Amos and Amos perform in all venues - taking their positive message to everyone through concerts, special appearances and church services. -----------------------------------------------Contact us at amosandamosmusic@aol.com
But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, and that he will stand upon the earth at last. And after my body has decayed, yet in my body I will see God. I will see him for myself. Yes, I will see him with my own eyes. I am overwhelmed at the thought!
Job 19:25-27 NLT
I know that my Redeemer lives; what joy the blest assurance gives! He lives, He lives, who once was dead; He lives, my everlasting Head!
He lives, all glory to His name; He lives, my Savior, still the same; what joy the blest assurance gives: I know that my Redeemer lives!

Yes, I remember you from BC. You may remember Toddie (first wife) as a singer/songwriter/musician extrordinaire who worked for the Dean and often performed in the Chapel. I played the twelve-string and trumpet and sang, too. Though we're no longer together, we are both still writing and performing. One day, soon I hope, I'll be uploading samples to share, I enjoyed hearing yours and look forward to hearing more from you.
