Von Thronstahl started in 1995 with Josef Klumb and brother Bernhard. The main reason to form Von Thronstahl was a longing to make music & art which would be more attached to a real European heritage and not to a freemasonary, anarchic tradition of false liberty, which means lawlessness and rootlessness.
Von Thronstahl should show the way back to a majestic kind of pride, with solid values. Von Thronstahl released their debut album ..Imperium Internum.. on Cold Spring in 2000. The latest album, ..Sacrificare.. came out beginning 2008.
Rose, Rovine e Amanti is the solo project of Damiano Mercuri from Roma, started in 2002. RR&A combines Italian neo-folk with some majestic, sacral, deep Christian visions, mixed with a good touch of Old European Cabaret Sin. Live show with surprise guest musicians!
Sturmast from Hungary plays a unique kind of folk influenced martial industrial music. Far from being an instrumental one-man computer band putting some classical loops and battle sounds together, Sturmast is a collective fronted by Varga Gabor. Here real musicians play real instruments, thus introducing the good old band-feeling to the martial industrial scene. The music contains powerful, eruptive live drums (toms, snare, bass drum), haunting violin and cello, acoustic guitar, and a selection of traditional folk instruments (e.g. kaval, jaw harp). Even the keyboards are "live" recorded in some ways, and a considerable part of the samples and special effects are made by the band itself. Absorbing atmosphere links the compositions which vary from hypnotic monotonous to marching repetitive, from moody experimental to beautiful, melancholy-filled delicate. The lyrics, portraying the fight of the historic and modern, spiritual and secular, uplifting and ill-fated, are mostly in Hungarian (one song is in German)
The first album by the project Cawatana from Hungary was released by the Label Eislicht and has received very positive reviews. We are very happy and excited to present you, for the first time, this excellent fresh neofolk project.
