Canadian pop singer Alyssa Reid rose to the top of the charts in 2010 with the hit single "Alone Again," which riffed off of Heart's 1997 smash "Alone" and featured rapper P. Reign.
Born in Edmonton, Alberta, Reid began writing songs and taking vocal lessons while still in the single digits, and by the time she was in her late teens, the self-taught guitarist/pianist, who impressed her future record label with a YouTube rendition of the Justin Bieber hit "One Less Lonely Girl," was working with some of contemporary pop's biggest producers. Her full-length Wax Records debut, The Game, was released in the summer of 2011, and peaked at the number 25 slot on the Canadian albums chart. ~ James Christopher Monger
