The Lesson Learned (Live) at the ol' Bucktown Coachhouse.
Despite spending the last four years passing out in bars, local rockers All Things Lucid haven't missed a step. In fact, you could say they're just getting started. Moving past the success of their last album, Suburbs On The Moon (2007, Kilo Records), the band is reaching beyond its trademark Americana sound and turning up the grit into tales of cause and effect. All Things Lucid is back with a fresh lineup of songs dealing with dark stories of struggle, success, freedom, and addiction. Their latest sound is more matured and soulful; with layered harmonies and raw emotion that hark back to earlier days of rock. Each song is congruent with each other, but derivative of their influences. Taking risks and stepping out of the comfort of roles, the members are constantly changing leads, backing vocals and instruments to keep each song unpredictable and unforgettable. Having over 40 original songs, it's no wonder that the boys are having a hard time choosing the first tracks to record in the new Kilo Records studio located in Pilsen. An EP is expected to be released this Fall, and a full length as Chicago gets cold again.

Hey, IKE let us down but that does not change the fact that you are true professionals and no ones puppet. Its refreshing to see a band that makes their own decisions.
a starbucks in oceanside california was graced with the music of the " Story of a careless man" today because a barista was sick of the crap music they make him listen to.
