Alcibiades Jones is a fusion trio with roots in funk, jazz, and psychedelic rock.

Experimental group who record on Refraction Mirage Records and Shatter Your Leaves. Formed 1998.
The present incarnation of the band features a malleable drum/guitar/keyboard duo line-up focusing on ambient noise music in the spirit of Sonic Youth, Lightning Bolt, and Larry Young's "Lawrence of Newark."
Austin Barney plays guitar and does a good deal of mixing and producing, as well as drumming and keyboard playing. Alex Zanecchia played drums and guitar in this project through 2005. Stu Watson performs as a singer, guitarist, and bassist in his other project "Movie", but here provides mostly bass, along with guitar, keys, and drums.
Our third record, "Vacant Cavern," is now available. It is a CD-R release and will soon be available for download on Itunes, etc.
In addition to this, our music has been featured on PBS on the show Roadtrip Nation and on A+E in the season finale of "Sons of Hollywood" (two of our songs "Mirage" and "Switch" are used in that episode. Many other songs were used during the course of the season).
Austin Barney (Guitar) and Stuart Watson (Drums) performed as sidemen for renowned Tibetan Music artist Nawang Khechog at Tibet Fest in Litchfield, CT, on July 31, 2005.
