Here's a basic summary of everything you never wanted to know about me. It's dynamic; always being updated as my life changes. Right now I'm 19 years old, live in Wisconsin, and am in love with the most amazing girl in the world.
I love to skate. I skateboard every second I can, and I'm always happy. I can usually have fun no matter what I'm doing. I don't drink, smoke, or do any kind of drugs. I've never done any of those things in my entire life and don't plan to. Some people tell me that I can't do it, but they're wrong. I'm not as weak minded as them, I don't give in to peer pressure.
I love to skate and have been doing so for 5 years now. I used to be sponsored by a local shop until the team broke up, and right now my only sponsor is Konglomerate clothing. I don't like to skate in competitions because I don't care what a panel of judges has to say about my skating. I do like to play s-k-a-t-e though, but that's about as competetive as I get.
Other than skating I love playing music with The Mudslingers, trampoline boarding, fingerboarding, filming/editing videos, graphic design, web design, screen printing shirts, and a lot of general computer stuff ranging from hardware modifications to basic software coding. Although that's not really a range, basically it means I'm generally educated and interested in all aspects involving computers, but I've still got a lot to learn.
I like to make skate videos, sequence films, and random funny videos. My project right now is "Skate for Fun," the first Konglomerate video. We've already finished a promo for it so check it out at myspace.com/konglomerate. My last project, "This One Belongs to Us," was a video journal of an entire summer of skateboarding. It was never released though, because a hard drive failure caused me to lose all of the footage. I was in the process of completing the credits at the time and the video was about 20 minutes long, so it really sucks that it went to waste, but the Konglomerate video will be much better. Almost everything I do relates to skateboarding in some way, and if not, then it has something to do with music.
I'm in a punk band called The Mudslingers. I write the lyrics and do the vocals. Another thing I do is design posters, album covers, flyers, stickers, and most of the other stuff our logo is placed on, which leads me to the next chapter in this lengthy essay which was originally going to be a summary.
I do a lot of graphic designing on my computer. Most of my work is made from scratch because I'm not much of a photo editor; I'd better leave that to Haley because I don't know what I'm doing. My work has been used by skateshops, skateparks, skate websites, bands, and record labels across the country. Not to make it sound like I'm this really popular guy; it's just that some of the people using my graphics live in California and Pennsylvania thus making the term "across the country" applicable. I mainly use Illustrator and Photoshop for my work, but I do use some other lesser known programs as well.
Most of the music I listen to is old hardcore/punk/skate-punk/crossover/ska whether it be old or new. I listen to a lot of underground bands from Wisconsin and Illinois falling under those genres. I'm into punk culture and have been listening to the music since I was ten years old. I started out with Formula 1, Suicidal Tendencies, and the Dead Kennedys (although I didn't know DK's name at the time). Living with Rob Luna for the whole summer before freshman year expanded my tastes to all forms of punk music and after meeting Brittany I learned about old hardcore and ska-punk and started listening to Minor Threat and Operation Ivy. My favorite band of all though is JFA.
I keep a lot of animals; they aren't pets though; they live in natural habitats I've designed in my room. I'm not some kind of animal freak; I just enjoy raising animals. Being an aquarist with 5 years of experience I mainly keep freshwater tropical fish. Currently I only have one 20 gallon high aquarium, but at one point I had more then 10 aquariums (back when I had a larger room). In the future I'll have a 60 gallon hex cichlid tank (I've got the tank right now, but not the fish). In addition to my fish, I have a snapping turtle, a leopard gecko, and several fire belly toads. The turtle and toads reside in their own 10 gallon aquariums and I have a 16 gallon 3 foot long terrarium which I built myself set up for the gecko. I used to keep the toads in that tank but when I stopped keeping treefrogs I moved them over to a spare 10 gallon.
I also like to play video games a little bit. My favorite games are Super Mario World on Super Nintendo, Animal Crossing on Gamecube, EA Skate on Xbox 360, Pokemon Leaf Green on Gameboy Advance, Grand Theft Auto 3 on PS2, Tiberian Sun: Firestorm on PC, Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 on PC, and Oblivion on PC. I'm not much of a gamer, but I play when I have time. I like Nintendo games the most because they'd rather make games that are fun than games that are realistic with amazing graphics. If I wanna die in a war with realistic blood I'll enlist; I'd much rather be a plumber riding on a dinosaur.
Holy shit that's a lot of stuff. If you made it this far hopefully you didn't cheat and just scroll to the bottom or you lost the game. What that game is only the losers know.
