About me: Hello my name is Kala, but my friends call me mooner. I come from a small town in Iowa. there's not a lot to do here, but it's better than living in a big crowded city filled with fake rick people. I went to high school in a town only 20 minutes away and learned if you like baseball you will succeed, I'm not a guy and not a baseball fan either, but I made it through. My biggest hero would have to be Kurt Cobainand my grandma.I'm finding I have a lot of things in common with Kurt Cobain. We like some of the same bands and macaroni w/ a little extra milk in it. We also have or he had manic depression.I like to draw mostly people and found it was a way to keep me out of trouble. I'm also obsessed with grunge music and love the early 90's. I'll get along with mostly any one, but rasist and so on, find preps annoying and think that people that act fake, act like they are board or have problems in their lives, strongly see attention, young celebrity's, think their better than other people or cut people down for personal amusement and to heighten their self esteem are fucken waste of air. I get called a hippie and grunge a lot. I'm pretty mellow so it does not bother me.I also get told I am a nice mellow person a lot, which is always good. Basically think of me as a grunge obsessed teen living in Washington in the early 90's, that's what Ive been told anyway.
Who I'd like to meet: I would like to meet any one who was in a real grunge band, no nickleback does not count,that would be 1980 - 1995. you cant really say its from the books cause ive read alot of nirvana books that ive seen so many mistakes in them that i correct the book and the sad thing is i never even met kurdt. i guess the reason i turned out cool (or) Kool is becuase i was always alone and did whatever i want. thanks, my parents are cool, but i piss them off alot so maybe thats why they hate me so much at times. but yeah. hopefully i do get my univox. if i do i wont let anyone touch it. sure feel free to touch my strat i beat the shite outta that guitar but it stands in tune and it still works. kinda. well anyways sorry for rambling on and on like a 13 year old girl at a beatles concert.
I learned it for my self. But my teacher Warren mason gave me a few lessons. And i also play drums , i took lessons from my drum teacher Michael James Couley.
My first one from 1992 was a Hohner classic acoustic guitar. In 1994 i got my first electric guitar it was a Squier Fender Affininty strat. But i sold it before a few years a go to a friend. now i have a Fender jag stang and a Fender Draightnut Acoustic guitar. And some pretty good effects like: Electro Harmonix Big muff, and the Small clone chorus. And an digitech Grunge FX. And an fender bass man amp and an Line 6 Amp
Its a 1995 Fender Jag- Stang. Designed by Kurt Cobain. Kurt took a foto of a Fender Mustang and a Fender Jaguar and put it together and called it the Jag- stang.
no, my parents are asses. im just hoping they get me one. yes, kurt used them. his first guitar he got was a sunburst Univox Hi-flyer on his 14 berfday. this guitar he smashed on 10/30/88. kurt had a nasty-ugly sunburst one during the "Bleach" tour. then he had a White one on the Nirvana's First European tour in 1989. then he had another sunburst one which he used on 10/3/92-Bellingham, Wa and 10/4/92-Seattle, Wa and 10/30/92-Argentina and 9/25/93-Saturday Night Live (this is the univox i want the one above).
and he also had a different sunburst one he used in Rio 1/23/93 during the encore. he also used it 7/23/93 at the Roseland ballroom, in NYC. but this one he smashed.
i didnt get started recording yet becuase my strat died on me. i spent the recording money on a new pickup and now i need to get $75 to get this guy to install it for me then i need to get up another $150 to start recording. hopefully/ bye the end of the month the demo will be done. i'm getting a univox hi-flyer sunburst custom for chirstmass.

HaHa Hey Kala. I'm doing great, and Jed is good too. I've been quite busy with school too, I have a text next hour, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to fail. But yeah, nothing new has happened here in Waukon. It's homecoming tonight, and I have to work, but I'm going to try to make it to the game. It's crazy that I take all my classes with seniors and juniors from WHS. I get used to it though, and they are nice to me. How is life in New Albin? Keep in touch! ♥Kayla
